Family Resettlement & Support Services support the journey from homelessness to community. Services are available to guests and former guests of our emergency shelter and to homeless families placed in motels by our local department of social services. Joseph’s House advocates work with each guest to resolve the situations that precipitated homelessness whenever possible. Advocates also assist in the transition to community based human services providers. Resettlement support provides linkages to independent living skill training, budgeting, counseling, entitlement and benefit management, and referral to and maintenance of linkages with supportive services for counseling, mental health issues, or substance abuse. Joseph’s House offers resettlement services for up to a year after leaving the shelter or a motel placement.
