Outreach Legal Services are provided in partnership with the Legal Aid Society of Northeastern NY. A full time legal outreach worked employed by Joseph’s House works with a lawyer from the Legal Aid Society to provide the legal services needed by homeless and high risk adults and families in order to access and succeed in permanent housing. Transportation, legal representation, and case coordination are all provided under the Federally funded program. |

The Ferry Street Inn and The Lansing Inn |
The Ferry Street Inn (9 single room occupancy units) and The Lansing Inn (26 studio apartments in the former Phoenix Hotel) The Inns provide an affordable and stable housing option for people who are reluctant or unable to participate in structured programs or more restrictive environments. Residents pay rent equal to 30% of their income (SSI). |

Family Resettlement and Support Services |

Family Resettlement & Support Services support the journey from homelessness to community. Services are available to guests and former guests of our emergency shelter and to homeless families placed in motels by our local department of social services.
Joseph's House advocates work with each guest to resolve the situations that precipitated homelessness whenever possible. Advocates also assist in the transition to community based human services providers.

Medical and Dental Clinics for Homeless |

The medical clinic at Joseph’s House has been open for thirteen years. The Clinic is completely staffed by volunteer nurse-practitioners associated with RussellSage College. The collaborating physicians services are donated by Samaritan Hospital. |

12 Beds More than 50 families with children are sheltered each year at Joseph's House–approximately 170 adults and children for almost 4,000 nights of shelter annually. Families are sheltered in apartment-like space set aside from the main section of the shelter and off limits to all other shelter guests. |

Emergency Shelter for Adult Men and Women |
16 Beds Single guests sleep in 2- or 3-bed bedrooms and share bathrooms, and common living and dining areas. The shelter is open 24 hours a day, 365 days and nights of the year and runs at close to full occupancy providing almost 4,000 nights of shelter to more than 400 single men and women each year. |
