Comedian Rick Conety is hosting his friends in an evening of laughs at the theater of the Arts Center of the Capital Region, which has generously donated their space. From 6pm until 9pm local comedians are performing at no cost to Joseph’s House. Over 30 volunteers gathered to hear how they helped staff and supporters serve over 1,000 Rensselaer County individuals during 2017. We shared guest stories, agency statistics and most of all, volunteer experiences.Seminary volunteer Donna shared her thought poem after a school year of volunteering in the Shelter and at Lansing Inn and we read comments by Sage students. On Friday, March 23, from 5 PM to 8 PM, Christ Church Troy will host a spaghetti dinner with proceeds benefiting local causes:
Joseph’s House, The Troy YWCA, Troy Area United Ministries, or Unity House.
Take out is available from 4 PM to 5PM: please call ahead at 272-8392.
Tickets: $14 for adults, $8 for children (5-11 years), and free for children under 5. A Family special (two adults and two children) rate is offered at $35.

Little Italy Marketplace
Join us at 202 4th st (front of Joseph’s House & Shelter’s Hill St. Inn) from 2-4pm for a fun filled afternoon of music, live animals and a walk through the streets of Troy to raise awareness about homelessness. After the walk stay and enjoy a traditional Italian Posada, soup and more music.

Looking towards the 2017 Turkey Trot!
The Troy Turkey Trot is a premier road race featuring 5k and 10k distances, among other events. Since its humble beginnings 100 years ago, when six runners entered, the Troy Turkey Trot has grown into one of the largest and oldest turkey trots in the United States. 2016 will feature four events: the competitive 5k and 10k runs, the one mile Turkey Walk and the Grade School Mile. Join us in this proud annual tradition!
